How VGen and Toyhouse could benefit from web3
Specifically those 2, I don't think there's any real benefit in registering art into a ledger unlike what the title suggests, it doesn't protect against fraud either and the artist still has technically all the rights to the image, but something that would work is surprisingly original characters.
Original characters are traded or given for free, the point of the blockchain is to ensure ownership, so while it cannot be renforced it can be made clear who currently owns a character and the best part about this is that the database could be shared across multiple sites, so Toyhouse and VGen could have the same characters registered to the same name on their respective platforms, it would all syncronize.
It's crazy how much a ponzi scheme (NFTs) ruined any possibility of this happening because there's no good faith in the technology whatsoever despite how it'd be more beneficial to use over the current "trust" system since there will always be bad actors who lie, deceive and claim to own a specific character on one platform while they sold it on another. Tbf I might be saying bullshit, maybe there was never any good faith in said technology because for whatever reason furries and other artists hate crypto money just as a much and they'd rather use paypal until they get inevitably banned from it instead of ditching those twats permanently.
On the internet there's a general hate for anything related to anarcho capitalists (I don't believe in this bullshit, I'm liberal and difference is I think a blockchain is good if used correctly) that includes all of web3, and I reckon these peeps + boomers who can't grasp how to use a smartphone also like ai (you know, the plagiarism machine) which is just great.
