Today I felt moved by a song that Im thinking was made with AI
You know its bad if I felt emotionally touched by a clanker.
The song's called "I Want To Be A Cartoon" by G.I. Connection and as you can gather by the name itself the lyrics are about wanting to be a cartoon character. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest when I saw the title and the lyrics kind of reinforced that feeling since you know who I am because philosophically and maybe religiously I imagine a cartoon world as a perfect paradise of an afterlife, an utopia you know and somehow the lyrics directly pointed to that personal view on numerous occasions.
Now as to why I think it's AI. This video had 4 red flags that I'll enumerate below:
- It had almost no views and the "singer" is unknown
- Additionally, the singer only started publishing in 2026 (saw their discography on spotify to verify)
- The box cover art is probably AI-generated, that much I can tell
- The lyrics don't really make sense if you really think about it, it's all a mish-mash of words and ideas that follow a general theme.

I actually legitimately love "Floating like a balloon", had to listen to that part twice. The AI probably got its inspiration from fetish art lmao.
Anyway, methinks I'll take those lyrics (copyright on them is iffy anyway if it's AI sludge) rework them into my vision and then I dunno I think I'll need to hire somebody to sing them. It's gonna be so cringe, but so worth it too!
